The very best solar innovation and community engagement

The Australia-first solar project in Yackandandah has picked up two of the inaugural Energy Consumers Australia awards, winning the customer engagement and innovation categories.

Community energy manager Mark Judd traveled to Canberra to receive the honour and said he was pleased with the recognition for an energy-saving project.“The community engagement that we did with Yackandandah is the sort of community engagement they think is needed to help the transition to their renewable energy future,” he said.“It was a nice recognition of the Totally Renewable Yackandandah, Ausnet Services, Mondo partnership.”

The award comes as TRY prepares to officially launch the solar mini-grid project on Friday.
